Solo mining Bitcoin in Indonesia

← back to pool

Is home solo mining realistic in Indonesia?

Honestly: not as a way to earn steady income, but very much as a low-stakes, low-power lottery — and Indonesia is unusually well placed for it. Modern hobby miners like a Bitaxe draw only ~15–20 watts, so the electricity cost is trivial, and the nearest true-solo pool node sits right here in Jakarta. You won't out-mine an industrial farm, but if your little rig solves a block, the entire reward is paid straight to your own wallet.

Power and heat, the local reality

On a typical PLN home tariff a single Bitaxe costs only a few hundred rupiah a day to run, so the economics are about the hardware, not the bill. The bigger practical issues are heat and humidity: keep the device in a ventilated spot out of direct sun, and don't stack several in a closed cabinet. Loud, hot S19-class ASICs are usually impractical in a house — low-power Bitaxe and NerdQAxe units are the sensible home choice in our climate.

What you need to start

The closest pool, and a 60-second start

SoloLuck runs on a node in Jakarta, so from most of Indonesia your miner is a few milliseconds away (we measured ~6 ms from a home line here). Point your device at stratum.sololuck.io on port 3333, set the username to your bc1q… address, password x, and you're mining. The full copy-paste config for every device is on the setup page.

Solo vs pool, set expectations honestly

A regular (PPS/PPLNS) pool pays you small, steady amounts for your share of the work. A solo pool pays nothing… until the rare day your miner solves a whole block, then it pays everything. With a single small rig that day may statistically never come — that's the trade. SoloLuck is for people who want the lottery ticket, on their own address, with no custodian. See the comparison and the reproducible proof that payouts go straight to you.

Ready to take a ticket?

Paste your address and copy the config from /setup, watch the pool on /status, and check every claim on /verify. Mine to your own address — that is what makes it truly solo.
