Bitcoin Cash solo mining

Bitcoin Cash split from Bitcoin at block 478,558, on 1 August 2017 — and kept the same mining

SoloLuck is mainly a Bitcoin pool. Bitcoin Cash is the one where a small machine has odds worth quoting.

shorter odds than Bitcoin on the same machine. The average wait for a block, for one 1.2 TH/s miner:

Both read from our own nodes when this page loaded, never from memory.

Solo mining Bitcoin is close to a lottery: a small machine can run for a human lifetime and never find a block. Bitcoin Cash uses the same mining as Bitcoin and the same hardware, but its network is far smaller, so the same machine has far shorter odds of finding a block.

Both figures are averages, not schedules — solo mining is high variance on either chain, and a block can come tomorrow or never. Nobody can promise you one. What changes between the two columns is only how long the odds are.

Blocks found

None yet. This pool is young, and solo mining is honest about its odds: at the rate this pool has sustained over the past day a block is expected roughly every 3 months on average. A block can come tomorrow or take far longer — that is the game, on either chain. When one lands, it appears here with its on-chain record.

9.2% of the 433,842,665,838 a block needs. Every share is an independent try — getting close does not carry over. The counter starts again at zero each time this pool finds a block, so it measures the run since the last one.

The terms

The same rules as the Bitcoin pool. True per-miner solo on ckpool, 0% fee — finders keepers. Non-custodial: your Bitcoin Cash address is the stratum username, and if you solve a block the network pays the whole reward, 3.125 BCH plus fees, straight to that address. No account, no KYC, no balance for anyone to hold or freeze. The same miners, the same stratum, the same published coinbase construction.

What is different. The prize is paid in Bitcoin Cash, not Bitcoin. Both chains pay 3.125 coins a block today — the whole difference is what one coin is worth, and a Bitcoin Cash block is worth a small fraction of a Bitcoin one. That is the trade, stated plainly: far shorter odds, for a far smaller prize. If what you want is the jackpot, mine Bitcoin. If you would rather have odds you can put a number on, this is the one.

Connect

Any SHA-256 miner works — the same hardware that mines Bitcoin. Your username is your own Bitcoin Cash address in CashAddr form, bare (leave off the bitcoincash: prefix — some miner firmware rejects the colon), optionally address.workername per rig. Password: anything.

Use a Bitcoin Cash address only. A Bitcoin-format address (1…, 3…, bc1…) is not refused at login and would not pay your Bitcoin wallet.

Opens the public statistics page for your address; the first figures appear within a couple of minutes of the first accepted share.

One door for every size of miner: each connection starts at difficulty 1,024 and vardiff settles it where your hashrate belongs, down to a floor of 1 for CPUs and NerdMiner-class boards — the SoloLuck Miner app and NerdMiner firmware ask for their low start automatically.

No mining rig? Any PC can try. The same CPU miners as the Bitcoin pool, pointed at Bitcoin Cash — they ask the pool for the low starting difficulty themselves, so your first accepted share lands within minutes.

Verify us yourself

Do not take the 0% fee on trust. Every job this pool hands a miner contains the complete coinbase transaction it is asking you to mine — decode it and you can see the whole reward pays the username's own address, and nothing pays us. The construction is documented on the proof page, the same audited path the Bitcoin pool runs.

Nor is the pool a single machine: three independently synced Bitcoin Cash nodes across two sites stand behind the stratum, with failover proven on the wire, not assumed.
