Solo mining is high-variance
Solo mining is highly unpredictable and should not be treated as stable or guaranteed income. Expected block time is a statistical average, not a deadline or promise.
What 'expected time to a block' means
It is a mean over an enormous number of tries. A real block is a single coin-flip that can land far sooner or far later — you might find one tomorrow or never. The odds are identical on every block and every pool; more hashrate buys more attempts, nothing else.
No guarantees
Uptime is best-effort and not guaranteed. You keep 100% of any block you find (0% fee), but finding one with small hardware is rare. Never mine with money or power you cannot afford to spend without a return.
